// Little Eva //

Just look at that scrunchy, squishy, silly little face.  This little munchkin is my pride and joy.  And she's growing up way too fast.

Here on the 12th of this month she will be 10 months.  That means in two months she'll have her first birthday.  It's bittersweet really, watching your little baby girl grow up so fast.  People say that after her first birthday the years will go by even faster.  I welcome the coming years, but I also dread them.  It seems like just yesterday little Eva was born, all eight pounds and four ounces of her.  She was such a tiny thing, so fragile and beautiful and mine.  I tear up when I go through the early photos of her.  My baby is practically grown up.  Okay, not really, but her baby-ness is definitely disappearing a little each day.  She's at the stage where she's crawling all over the place and getting into everything.  Believe me, I have my hands full.  I can't imagine what it'll be like when she learns to walk...

As much as I love being a photographer, I love being a mother more.  This not-so-little-anymore bundle of joy makes everything worth it, including the stretchmarks and flabby skin remaining from pregnancy.  Every hardship parenting may bring, it's so fulfilling to bring a child into this world.  I really can't explain it, but I know you other mothers know the feeling.  Just suffice it to say that once you have a child you wonder how you ever thought life was complete without one.
